Hotel Cram is situated in the middle of the Eixample district of Barcelona very close to the Paseo de Gracia, Rambla de Cataluña, Plaza de Cataluña and the Ramblas.

Surrounded by the city’s most emblematic architecture, the hotel fits perfectly into this rich legacy. The modernist style façade dates back to 1892, and has a definite majestic elegance, the interior while also not lacking in refinement is contrastingly modern, making Hotel Cram a unique hotel in Barcelona.

The alternation of the light within the hotels different spaces lead to a sequence of contrasts, the dark ceiling areas, floor tiles and furniture as can be seen in reception, the lobby bar or the corridors make the vivid colours all the more striking, these colours range from orange to Bordeaux (Tibet range). Another outstanding feature is the central patio with its natural illumination.

The hotel Cram has 67 rooms, of which 51 are standard (46 double beds and 5 rooms with two separate beds), 11 Superiors (two of which are adapted for the handicapped), 2 Executive, 1 Privilege and 2 Suites.

The hotel rooms are ingeniously designed and allow the guest to select different lighting scenes (welcome, fiesta, romantic and night light). The rooms are equipped with independent climate control system which is easy to use, access is controlled using microchip cards permitting the maximum intimacy.

Restaurant Gaig was founded in 1869 and has built a reputation at an international level, as has been acknowledged by the prestigious Michelin guide award of one star, the restaurant can now be found within Hotel Cram. The distinguished menu offers the diner the latest in Catalan cuisine of the highest quality. The decoration is in line with the hotel, and is remarkable for the contrast between the black and granite colours of the ceiling and floor and the colour of the chairs and curtains.

Hotel Cram is situated in the heart of Barcelona, in the Eixample area, just 5 minutes walk from the most
emblematic streets of the city such as Rambla de Catalunya and the Passeig de Gracia.

The hotel maintains its 19th century façade of great architectural interest, in the interior the most outstanding features are the modern decoration and design which is complemented with the latest technological facilities.

Hotel Cram was inaugurated in October 2004. The construction of the hotel was carried out by a highly prestigious firm of architects GCA headed by Josep Riu The architects have respected the old façade of the building and renovated completely the interior.

Of all these services, we would like to highlight the Gaig Restaurant located on the first floor which has been awarded one Michelin Star.
Guests who wish to dine in the restaurant are kindly advised to make a reservation some time in advance, since this is one of the cities most prestigious and well known restaurants and it is often difficult to find a table.

Position
Walking from the hotel among the places of greatest interest is the Rambla de Catalunya and the Passeig de Gracia, as well as Plaza Catalunya and all of the Barrio Gotico.
Close to the hotel it is possible to see many Antoni Gaudi buildings and modern style architecture in general and also the Antoni Tapies foundation.

The zone also has a great variety of restaurants, bars, pubs and a select night life. During the day the area of the Eixample offers our guests the possibility to shop in the best and most prestigious shops of the city.

How to Arrive
From the airport there are various possibilities, by taxi or car it takes 20 minutes. The best way is to enter Barcelona by the Gran Via continuing until Aribau street, where you turn left and follow this street until you reach the hotel.
There are also trains which connect the airport with the main train stations with a journey time of 20 minutes. The nearest station to the hotel is plaza Catalunya from which the hotel is 10 minutes walking distance. There is also a bus from the airport to plaza Universitat .
If you arrive by train, we are only 10 minutes from Sants station which is Barcelona´s main station.
